A new edition of the “Course for journalists transmitting from the areas of conflict”

Minister of National Defense offers the journalist the possibility to participate in the third edition of the “Course for journalists transmitting from the areas of conflict” organized between May 26 and 30, 2006 by the Public Relations Directorate in cooperation with the General Staff. The Course aims to train the journalists for the situations they could be when doing their jobs in areas of conflict or high level risk regions.

The activity in which for the first time will participate three military Belgian experts and an observer from Hungary will be developed in two Army Staff units, i.e. the 96th Engineering Battalion, from Bucharest and the 21st Mountain Battalion from Predeal.

Presentation of ammunition effects, learning and training of precautions, knowing and avoiding of mines, data on explosive charges and traps, behavior in situation of captivity, actions developed at the check points, and the first aid are few of the issues approached during the Course.

For an intensive and effective training the number of participants will be limited to 18. The journalists willing to participate in this Course should have the recommendation of the press institution there are working in.
