The Palace of the National Military Club hosted the opening of the 4th module of the High Level Course of PESA, of the European Defence and Security College, on Tuesday, April 13.


68 attendants and prestigious lecturers from European Union institutions and nations participate in the course that is organized by the National Defence College, Romania, in cooperation with the Superior Staff Institute of the Centre for Advanced Defence Studies in Italy and the CESA Secretariat.

The goal of the High Level Course is to train in strategic matters civil and military personnel of EU member states, EU institutions, other international organizations working in the field of Common Defence and Security Policy, to increase awareness of the role of EU bodies in this matter and to promote dialogue in this field.

The European Defence and Security College, established in 2005, is an important pillar of the European Union in educating and promoting the Common Defence and Security Policy. In 2006, the Romanian National Defence College has become an observer in the Common Defence and Security Policy and a full member in 2007.
