Minister Mircea Duša Participates in NATO Defence Ministerial
The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Duša, participates in NATO Defence Ministerial to take place in Brussels, over 21 and 22 February.
The defence ministers will discuss the political and military aspects of the Connected Forces Initiative, which aims at building highly operational forces. Reinforcing multinational capability development and increasing collective deployment capability are some other topics on the ministers` agenda.
Following that, ministers will also discuss the future of the Alliance in terms of both force requirements and level of readiness and defence budgeting.
The Informal Defence Ministerial is the first ministerial event of 2013 and represents an important stage in implementing the decisions agreed at last year`s Chicago Summit in the field of transformation and reform of the Alliance, as well as rendering forces and capabilities operational.
