Humanitarian Mission to Save the Lives of two Children
The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dușa, ordered that a C-27 J Spartan aircraft of the Romanian Air Force should carry out a humanitarian mission on Friday night, to save the lives of two children of 5 and 7 years old, who suffered severe burns caused by an explosion.
The patients will be transported from Cluj Napoca to Bucharest, assisted during transport by both a SMURD and a military medical team, consisting of doctor Maj. Dragoș Tudose and Sergeant Dumitru Miu.
The crew of the aircraft of the 90th Airlift Flotilla consisted of Commander Viorel Pană, Captain Romeo Gârz and WO Ovidiu Lupu.
The intervention took place at the request of State Secretary Raed Arafat, on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
