Minister Mircea Dușa to Participate in the Ceremony for the Return of Frigate "Regina Maria"
The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dușa, will participate in the ceremony marking the end of mission and return of Frigate "Regina Maria", organized in Constanța port, on Monday, 4 November, 11.00 hrs. In October, the frigate participated in NATO-led Operation "Active Endeavour" in the Mediterranean Sea.
The ceremony will be attended by military officials, representatives of local authorities, war veterans, reserve and retired military personnel as well as family members of the crew.
In the time span it was involved in Operation "Active Endeavour", Frigate "Regina Maria" sailed 5791 Nm, had 604 march hours, monitored 198 ships and interrogated 81 of them.

Operation "Active Endeavour" began in 2001, as a response of NATO to the 11 September attacks against the USA. Ships participating in the operation patrol the waters of the Mediterranean Sea in order to monitor maritime transports and to prevent terrorist actions and trafficking.
