The Ministry of National Defence meets with the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Tepelena
"Regional cooperation and the relationships with the neighboring states represent for Romania the essential framework necessary to develop a stable security environment". The statement was made by defence minister Mircea Duša during today`s meeting with the Albanian Ambassador which took place at the ministry headquarters.
During the office call, the two officials discussed the security environment from the Eastern flank of the Alliance, emphasizing the fact that the implementation of the measures adopted following the Wales Summit and the NATO Defence Ministers Reunion represent a defining element for the regional stability.
At the end of the ceremony, the Romanian defence minister made an official invitation to his Albanian counterpart, Mimi Kodheli, to visit our country and on this occasion, to approach subjects such as the potential development of the military bilateral relations and the placement of the NATO Commands on the Romanian territory.
