ROMANIAN TROOPS AT „BALKAN BRIDGES 15” MULTINATIONAL EXERCISE
About 100 troops from nine South-Eastern countries, 32 of which from Romania, participate in the multinational exercise „Balkan Bridges 15” conducted at „Charalitsa” Military Training Center in Bulgaria, over 23 to 27 November.
The goal of the exercise based on a fictious scenario is training the participating military structures to increase readiness to respond to regional security risks, using national modelling and simulation facilities and integrating them into a South-East European Training Network (SEEETN) as well as exercises.

The representatives of the countries participating in the Chiefs of Defence/General Staffs of the Balkan Countries Initiative (Albania, Bosnia and Herzgovina, Bulgaria, Greece, FYROM, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Turkey) emphasized the neccessity and initiated the development of a new modelling and simulation capability shared and interconnected for training purposes.
NATO Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) in Bydgoszcz, Poland will use the exercise in Bulgaria as a testing platform of technical capabilities meant to support multinational training within the Connected Forces Initiative (CFI) of the Alliance.
