Meeting of Defence Minister with the Ambassador of France
The Minister of National Defence, Mihnea Motoc, met H.E. Francois Saint-Paul, the Ambassador of France to Romania, on Friday, November 27.
On this occasion the Romanian defence minister sent condolences to the families of the victims of the terrorist attacks and expressed solidarity with the French people with respect to such unacceptable deeds.
Minister Mihnea Motoc expressed his concern as to the last developments in the security situation in the region neighboring Romania, adjacent to the borderlines of the Alliance. Both parties spoke of the high level of bilateral military cooperation within the Romanian-French strategic partnership and the willingness to take further the cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Minister Motoc used the opportunity to thank the French Ambassador for the support offered by France with respect to the tragic accident that occurred at „Colectiv” Club in Bucharest.
Minister Motoc used this opportunity to express his gratitude to Ambassador Saint-Paul for the support France granted Romania, in the context of the tragic incident that occurred in the Colectiv Club of Bucharest.
