Two soldiers from the 341st Infantry Battalion White Sharks were lightly wounded Friday, March 31 at about 08.30 hours (Romania's time) during their mission at about 30 km South East from Kandahar base, Afghanistan.

A detachment of 23 soldiers with three amphibious personnel carriers driven by the Battalion commander and a vehicle of the Canadian force were in patrol mission in their area of responsibility. Near Pungi one of the personnel carriers was damaged by an explosive device and an officer and one NCO were lightly wounded.

A medical evacuation team transported the soldiers to the campaign hospital in Kandahar base.
