Minister of National Defense, Teodor Atanasiu ordered the increase of security measures in all the theaters of operations where Romanian soldiers act together with the Coalition forces and also odered the two wounded soldiers in Afghanistan to benefit the high qualified medical treatment.

Major Catalin Ticulescu and NCO Florin Bolovan from the 314th Infantry Battalion White Sharks were transported by the multinational coalition plane to the US hospital in Landsthul, Germany for specialized medical care.

Friday, March 31, at about 08.30 hours (Romania's time) an amphibious personnel carrier was damaged by an explosive device during their patrol mission at about 30km South-East of Kandahar. Major Ticulescu fractured his right calcaneus and NCO Bolovan has the settlement of four vertebras.
