A delegation headed by General Dr. Eugen Badalan, chief of General Staff pay an official visit at SHAPE, in Mons, Belgium.

The talks and the official meetings between the chief of Romanian General Staff and General James Jones, SHAPE commander and other NATO military officials will focus NATO's role in regional security and stability, implications of NATO and EU enlargement on the security of Romania and the state of security in the Balkans and the Black Sea region.

General Badalan will present details on the implementation of the Strategy of Transformation of the Romanian Armed Forces and will present the information on Romanian military participation in international operations.

The talks will also be focused on the Partnership for Peace (PfP) and the implication of the armed forces of the PfP states in NATO's transformation.
