The Agreement on military cooperation between Romania and Slovenia was signed today, April 4, 2006 at the Headquarter of the Ministry of National Defense occasioned by the visit of the Slovenian minister of Defense, Karl Erjavek invited by his counterpart Teodor Atanasiu.

The two ministers talked during their meeting about the evolutions of the European Policy of Security and Defense (PESA) and the present situation in the Balkans. They also approached the process of transformation of the North Atlantic Alliance, the situation in the theaters of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and the bilateral military cooperation.

The Slovenian minister of Defense will be received at the Presidency of Romania and the Ministry of National Defense.
