The National Defense University Carol I will host between April 13 and 14, 2006 the international session of scientific works Strategies- 21 on the main issue Security and Defense within the South Eastern European Region, within the Third Millenium Transformations.

Personalities from the Ministry of National Defense, representatives of the institutions with attribution in defense and national security area, professors, researchers, military attaches accredited in Bucharest and about 500 specialists from Bulgaria, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland and Republic of Moldavia will participate in this event.

The works will focus the issues such as: stability and security in the South East of Europe, Romanian armed forces transformation, tendencies of endowment within the Euro-Atlantic integration. In the same time the works will promote the exchange of opinions, idea and expertise between civilian and military specialists in management and education, history, geo-politics and geo-strategy, e-learning and educational software, defense and national security, IT, law and public communication.

The Rector of the National Defense University Carol I, General Dr. Mircea Muresan will open the works Thursday, April 13 at 09.00 hours. Shows of books, military equipment and fine arts will occur during this event.
