Teodor Atanasiu, minister of National Defense will fly today by a military helicopter over the lower part of the Danube river and will check the 200 soldiers from the 2nd Infantry Battalion acting for consolidating and raising of dykes in Calafat and Desa, Dolj County.

Minister Atanasiu will depart for Craiova for checking the measures the 2nd Infantry Brigade took for the opportune intervention in case of floods in their area of responsibility, Gruia (Mehedinti County)- Turnu Magurele. Brigade General Virgil Balaceanu, the Brigade commander will present the forces and the equipment ready to act as the situation imposes and the possible quartering for the affected population.
