The Ministry of National Defense acted with forces and means, April 24 and 25, at the central and local authorities request in 13 localities affected by the Danube overflowing.

Thus, 570 soldiers/shift with 75 technical equipment fulfilled 25 missions in Rast, Negoi, Bistret, Ostroveni, Carna, Plosca, Goicea, Macesu de Jos, Dabuleni and Bechet (Dolj County) Frecatei, Tacau and Noianu-Varsatura (Braila County) and Spantov (Calarasi County). They continued to settle the military camp for the affected people, evacuated the population, consolidated the dykes and transported the first necessity materials.

Now, 170 tents, 550 mattresses, two special lavatory units, 9 kitchens, water tanks and refrigerating trucks have been set at disposal of the flood affected people in the localities in Dolj County. In Spantov the soldiers installed yesterday 37 tents for the population and continued to act for consolidation of dykes.
