Teodor Atanasiu, minister of National Defense on board of a helicopter went today, April 28, in Spantov, Manastirea, Chiselet (Calarasi County) where about 250 soldiers from the 34th Infantry Brigade and the 122nd Logistic Brigade from Bucharest fulfill the missions on behalf of the flood affected population.

Minister Atanasiu was informed by the commanders of the detachments on the operations of consolidation of dykes, the actions of evacuation of population and goods, the transport of the first necessity materials and the state of the establishment of the military camps for the affected people.

Till now, they installed 52 tents in Spantov for about 600 people. Other 50 tents will be installed today in Manastirea.

In the last two days, at the central and local authorities request, forces and military equipment of the Ministry of National Defense had 39 interventions with 1042 soldiers and 155 technical equipment in Rast, Negoi, Ghidici, Bistret, Sarata, Carna, Bechet, Dabuleni, Goicea, Macesul de Jos (Dolj County), Ianca (Olt County), Spantov, Manastirea, Chiselet (Calarasi County), Fetesti (Ialomita County), Frecatei, Tacau, Noianu-Varsatura (Braila County), Ceatalchioi (Tulcea County).
