State Secretary and chief of Department for European Integration and Defense Policy, Ion Mircea Plangu participated between May 2 and 4,2006 in the Conference NATO and the EU Future Role in the South-Eastern Europe organized in Berlin by the European Center for Studies of Security George C. Marshall in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The participants in this Conference were members of Parliaments, ministers of Defense, ministers of Foreign Affairs, representatives of regional and international organizations in South-Eastern Europe. The Conference main aim was the analysis and discussion of important elements of the activities developed by NATO and the European Union in the South Eastern Europe.

As the guest speaker, Ion Mircea Plangu delivered a lecture within the panel dedicated to the interventions for the regional representatives.
