Military ceremonies dedicated to the Day of Independence of Romania and the Day of Victory of the United Nations Coalition in the Second World War will occur Tuesday, May 9, 2006 in the places the MoND military units, big units and military education institutions are deployed.

Commemorative actions in Bucharest will occur at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in Parcul Carol starting 10.00 hours and the Monument of the Heroes from the Second World War in front of the Defense National University Carol I at 12.00 hours.

At the National Military Museum starting 13.00 hours will occur the military ceremony developed according to the stipulations from1876 and after that there will be opened the exhibition Carol I and the Romanian Armed Forces showing arms, uniforms, decorations and military equipment belonging to the royal family. This occasion, a set of phone cards of collection will be launched.
