Minister of National Defense, Teodor Atanasiu will participate in Brussels between May 15 and 16 in the reunion of the Council for General Affairs and Foreign Relations with Defense ministers from the EU member states.

The first part of this reunion is focused on the discussions on the activity of the European Defense Agency, the increase of the EU military capability and the EUFOR operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Then, a common session at the level of Foreign Affairs and Defense ministers will be focused on the issues such as: EU capacity of response in crisis, civil-military coordination and reform of the security sector in the Western Balkans.
