Minister of National Defense, Teodor Atanasiu pays a visit in the Republic of Macedonia between May 16 and 17 invited by his counterpart Jovan Manasijevski.

Minister Atanasiu will be received by the President Branko Crvenkovski and the Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski of the Republic of Macedonia and will have a meeting with the chief of General Staff, Major General Miroslav Stojanovski.

The official talks will focus the bilateral military cooperation and the participation in operations of stabilization and strengthening of political authorities in Iraq and Afghanistan. They will also detail different aspects on the reform of the armed forces, the evolutions in the Western Balkans and the enlarged region of Black Sea, the Romanian expertise in the Membership Action Plan and the international cooperation in fighting against terrorism.
