An European night at the National Military Museum

The National Military Museum organizes Saturday night, May 20/21, 2006 between 19.30 and 01.00 hours A Night at the Museum event, part of the Night of Museums European project occurring in different museums in Bucharest and the country.

The event with free access of the public will start with the exhibition Carol I and the Romanian armed forces 1866-1914 and at 20.00 hours the Arlechino theater of Elena Farago School no. 129 will present two modern dances and the play D`ale carnavalului by I.L.Caragiale.

During the inter-active program, three teams of children in two hours, using lanterns, will have to find and identify the exhibits in the Museum, as many as possible.

Starting 23.00 hours, the actor-students (professor Virgil Ogasanu) from the Faculty of Art of Hyperion University will play Vanzatori ambulanti by Murray Schisgal.

The National Military Museum by this event implement the SEL concept in the pedagogical practice of museums in Romania through different actions for the children to develop their emotional intelligence and self knowing.
The event occurring at the National Military Museum is fully integrated in the celebration of museums, the project launched by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, France in few European countries. Details on this project: www.nuitdesmusees.culture.fr
