About 150 soldiers are participating in limiting the aviary hotbeds at request of Brasov and Vrancea Prefectures.

More than 100 soldiers from the 2nd Mountain Troops Sarmizegetusa, in Codlea (Brasov County) and 20 soldiers from the 282nd Mechanized Brigade and 25 soldiers from the 2nd Artillery Brigade, in Jarasti (Vrancea County) have the mission to collect and incinerate the birds in the respective areas. 42 medical persons and volunteer citizens are working together with the soldiers acting in Vrancea County.

The 150 soldiers received Tamiflu tablets and are adequately equipped with one use equipment. They are quartered in 42 tents with washing installation.
