NATO Deputy General Secretary in Bucharest

Minister of National Defense, Teodor Atanasiu received the NATO Deputy General Secretary for Defense Investments, Marshall Bilingslea, today, May 26, 2006. During the talks they analyzed the aspects on the capacity developed for the benefit of NATO members not only for the own purposes but also for the participation in operations led by the Alliance.

The two officials also talked about the long term requirements on military capacity, capacity of air strategic transport, technology for protection against terrorism and air management.

Bilingslea also leading the Conference of Armament National Directors will meet the Romanian State Secretary and chief of the Armament Department, Eng. Ioan Ion. The NATO Deputy General Secretary's visit inscribes the program of the Alliance for promoting at NATO members level the politics of cooperation in armaments.
