Minister of National Defense met the representatives of the Malta Cross humanitarian service

I thank you for what you have done and you are going to in cooperation with the Military Hospital not only in the donated humanitarian relieves but also in the support granted for special training of our doctors stated minister Teodor Atanasiu to the Swiss doctors from the Malta Cross humanitarian service during the meeting occurred today, May 30, 2006 at the MOND HQ.

Mrs. Georgeta Gavrila, General Secretary of the Ministry of National Defense and Brigade General doctor Ioan Sarbu, director of Dr. Carol Davila Emergency Clinic Central Military Hospital participated in the meeting with the Swiss doctors being in Romania for a new stage of the bilateral program with the Military Hospital from Bucharest.

Prof. Dr. Lukas Krahenbuhl, chief of the Swiss delegation presented the results of cooperation with the Romanian doctors and showed the fact that the Military Hospital from Bucharest was selected due to the fact that the demonstrations of the modern surgery made here contributed in training of a number of residents with major benefit for the patients reducing sufferings as intensity and in time and the rapid socio-professional recuperation.

The members of the delegation re-affirmed the Malta Cross Order disposal in continuing the offer of donations for Dr. Carol Davila Emergency Clinic Central Military Hospital and the scholarships in Switzerland for the young military doctors from the Bucharest Hospital.
