A patrol of the 280th Infantry Battalion was attacked by detonation of an improvised device, today, May 31, around 07.00 hours (Romania time) during the mission of patrol at about 20 km South-east of An Nassiryah. No Romanian soldiers was wounded.

The Infantrymen from Focsani secured the area and asked for the intervention of the mine clearing team of Sassari Italian Brigade. The Romanian soldiers are acting in Iraq under the Italian authority. Now, the Romanians are continuing to fulfill their missions.
