Minister Teodor Atanasiu and the Chief of the General Staff, General Dr. Eugen Badalan participate in the Reunion of the North Atlantic Council at the level of Defense ministers from NATO member states developed Thursday June 8, 2006 at NATO HQ in Brussels.

The agenda of the Reunion enlists the issues related to the Alliance current operations, the enlarge of ISAF mission in Afghanistan, NATO's role in Kosovo region and the increase of the support granted to the African Union for the mission in Darfur, Sudan.

The Defense ministers from NATO members will have talks on NATO Reaction Force operationalisation and the future Summit of chiefs of states and governments occurring in Riga, Latvia, late in November.
The Romanian minister of National Defense will have a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts in Brussels.
