A delegation headed by the chief of the Spanish Air Staff, General Francisco Jose GARCIA DE LA VEGA pays a working visit in Romania between June 19 and 22, 2006, invited by the chief of the Romanian Air Force Staff, Lieutenant General Gheorghe Catrina.

The two officials will discuss topics regarding the current structure and organization of the Romanian Air Force, future plans and the areas of reform. Details will be addressed with regard to the stage of training and operationalization of the Air Staff personnel and structures, the organization and development of the process of training and professionalisation of the military personnel within the Air Force.

The Spanish delegation will visit the Air Principal Operational Command and the 86th Air Base Fetesti.

General Francisco Jose GARCIA DE LA VEGA led in 2001 the COOPERATIVE KEY 2001 NATO/PfP air exercise developed in Constanta.
