Opening of the Course for the Journalists Transmitting from the Regions of Conflict

The Ministry of National Defense organizes between June 26 and 30, 2006 the third edition of the Course for the journalists transmitting from the regions of conflict. The aim of the Course is to train the journalists for the situation they could find doing their job in the regions of conflict or of a high risk areas.

20 journalists from central and territorial media, three military experts from Belgium and one observer from the Hungarian armed forces will participate in this edition.

During the train in military units, in Bucharest and Predeal, they will present the effect of the ammunition, mines and explosive charges and their potential danger. The journalists will be trained in giving the first aid, they will find out the rules of working with media in the theaters of operations and the action at the check points.

General Eugen Badalan, chief of the General Staff will meet the participants, in the first day of the Course, Monday, June 26, 2006 at 12.00 hours at the 96th Engineering Battalion, in Bucharest (Sos Oltenitei nr. 219).
