The ceremony for the soldiers leaving in mission in Afghanistan will occur Monday, July 3, 2006, at 10 a.m. at the 2nd Infantry Battalion Calugareni HQ, in Bucharest, Soseaua Oltenitei nr. 290.

Between July 2006 and January 2007 the Battalion will act in ISAF to the establishment of peace and stability in this country.

The military from 2nd Battalion Calugareni participated in UNAVEM (1995) and MONUA (December 1998-August 1999) mission in Angola and in ALBA operation in Albania (1997) and Antica Babilonia mission in Iraq (2005).
