The Inter-ministerial Conference on The European Policy of Security and Defense Evolutions and Perspectives. The Role of the European Defence Agency will occur Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 9.30 a.m. in the Marble Hall of the National Military Cercle, organized by the Ministry of National Defence in partnership with the Romanian European Institute.

Participants, about 80 persons, are leaders, specialists and representatives of the governmental and non-governmental organizations from Romania, and the Delegation of the European Commission in Bucharest. Special guest is Nick Witney, executive director of the European Defence Agency (www.eda.europa.eu).

The debates will be focused on the dynamics of the European Policy of Defense and Security, the role of the European Defence Agency in the increase of the European defense capability, now and in future.

Also, the debates will aim the way Romania contributed as the European Union member in the increase of PESA, from the perspective of the role of the European Defence Agency in the increase of the European defense capability, including.
