The opening ceremony of the Romanian-Bulgarian-US exercise IMMEDIATE RESPONSE 06 (IR06) occurred Monday, July 17, in Novo Selo shooting field, Bulgaria.

The military participating in the IR 06 will have the common train in air and terrestrial deployment in a theater of operations and joint and combined peace imposing or peacekeeping operations in a hostile environment.

During the exercise a platoon from the 26th Infantry Battalion Red Scorpions will train together with the Bulgarian and US military in urbane actions and will have fires in the Bulgarian shooting range.

The military convoy of all the participants in this exercise will cross the Romanian-Bulgarian border during the night and will have an aeromobile exercise in Capu Midia firing field, Constanta County, Romania.
