White Sharks' at the end of mission in Afghanistan

A military ceremony occurred Tuesday, July 18 at the military base in Kandahar, Afghanistan when the 341st Infantry Battalion White Sharks from Topraisar gave their mandate of participation in the Enduring Freedom operation to their comrades from the 2nd Infantry Battalion Calugareni.

This occasion, the Commander of the 2nd Joint Operational Command, Brigade General Ion Chiranescu and the Commander of the South Multinational Brigade, the Canadian Brigade General David A. Fraser signed the document of transfer of authority on the Romanian Battalion.

General Fraser thanked to the military from the 341st Infantry Battalion for their professionalism and devotion and wished good look in their new mission to the 2nd Infantry Battalion Calugareni under his subordination since today.

The Commander of the 341st Infantry Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Vasile Vreme said to the White Sharks he is very proud of them and anytime he would go with them in mission. At his turn, the Commander of the 2nd Infantry Battalion Calugareni, Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Petrescu encouraged his military for the mission to fulfill: we will fulfill the mission with bravery and courage. We must do our job in the spirit of the Calugareni 2nd Infantry Battalion: TOGETHER-ANYWHERE-ANYTIME.

Thursday, July 20 at 13.00 hours the White Sharks last detachment will return home bringing the Battalion Combat Flag.
