The Romanian military wounded yesterday in Kandahar, Afghanistan suffered a minor surgical intervention at his leg in the hospital of the base and after that he returned in the Romanian camp, able-bodied to continue his mission.

Wednesday, July 19 at about 18.40 Romania's time, Major Ion Stanciu from the National Support Element in Afghanistan was slightly wounded in an explosion of a 107mm missile near the Romanian camp in Kandahar.

No other Romanian soldier was wounded in this explosion and there are no material damages.
