A ceremony for the return home from Afghanistan will occur Friday, August 4 at 11.00 hours in the 341st Infantry Battalion barracks in Topraisar, Constanta County. The White Sharks participated between January and July 2006 in Enduring Freedom VIII operation.

Guests in this ceremony are the Minister of Defense, Teodor Atanasiu, the Chief of the General Staff, General Eugen Badalan, the chief of the Army Staff, Lieutenant General Sorin Ioan, representatives of the local and central authorities and relatives of the military.

The Combat flag of the 341st Infantry Battalion will be decorated in the name of the President of Romania with the Ordinul Virtutea militara in grad de cavaler (Military Virtue Order in rang of Knight) with signs of war. In Afghanistan, the White Sharks fulfilled about 1,300 missions in their area of responsibility.
