The Ministry of Defense observed the Decision of the Supreme Council of Defense of the Country, no 60 from April 17, 2006 and delivered to the National Council for the Study of the Archives of the former Security about 1,523 files created by the former Directia V Securitate si Garda ( the 5th Directorate, Security and Guard); the documentation was de-classified.

On July 25, 2005 the Ministry of Defense asked the National Council to accept the deliver of a new package of 1,675 de-classified files created by the former Directia IV Contrainformatii Militare (the 4th Directorate, Military Counter Intelligence). The Ministry of Defense will perform this operation immediately after the National Council for the Study of the Archives of the former Security will make the announcement of having the necessary capacity of storage.
