Romanian-German Camp for Taking care of the War Graves

The war graves taking care camp is developed in Bordesti, near Focsani, between August 20 and September 2, 2006 with the participation of 10 German military from the 100th AA Fuldatal Reconnaissance Battery and 10 Romanian military from the 282nd Mechanized Brigade Unirea Principatelor.

Already a tradition of cooperation between the two armed forces, this activity aims the rehabilitation of the graves and commemorative works in the memory of the military who fought in the two World Wars.

The Camp is organized according to the stipulations of the Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on the Romanian war graves in Germany and the German war graves in Romania, ratified by the Law no. 170/1997.

The action in Vrancea County is coordinated by the Section of Military Traditions and Civic Education from the Department for Parliament Liaison and Public Information.
