The Day of the Press will occur Thursday, August 24, 2006 starting 09.00 on Mihail Kogalniceanu Military Airdrome, Constanta County, within the Romanian -US VIPER LANCE 2006 exercise.

The program consists in presentation of a static exhibition of planes and the air evolutions in formation and mix crews. The journalists will have the possibility to interview the representatives of the US Air Force Europe USAFE and of the Romanian Air Force.

The US F16 from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany and the MiG 21 LanceR from the 86th Fetesti Air Base are participating in the exercise that started on August 9, 2006. The first edition of this activity aims the training in common of the Romanian and the US pilots in joint operations, in mix formations and the fly at low altitude.
