The Bulgarian Minister of Defense, Veselin Bliznakov, and a military delegation are in official visit in Romania between August 25 and 26, 2006 invited by the Romanian Minister of Defense, Teodor Atanasiu.

The two officials' talks will occur at the Flotilla Command Headquarters in Constanta and will be focused on the European Policy of Security and Defense, the evolution of the environment of security in the Balkans and the Black Sea region, the common initiatives of regional cooperation and the process of transformation of the North Atlantic Alliance. They will also approach the bilateral military cooperation and the Romanian military participation in the international operations.

The Bulgarian Minister will also visit to the 39th Divers Center in Constanta and a ceremony of lay of wreaths in Mircea Voda Honor Graveyard in Medgidia.

Minister Atanasiu and Minister Bliznakov will have a press statement Friday, August 25, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Flotilla Command in Constanta.
