Navy desalt on Vadu Beach

The military from the 307th Marine Infantry Battalion and the 39th Center of Divers in cooperation with the military ships will perform Wednesday, August 30, 2006 a desalt on the Vadu Beach, Constanta County during PONTICA 2006 exercise with troops and firings.

During this exercise they will check the military ability to perform the real desalt from the ships by pneumatic boats, the offensive to be repelled from the shore. They will also solve other surprise tactical situations.


PONTICA 2006 exercise with troops and firings is organized and led by the Navy Staff between August 28 and September 4, 2006.

In order to check the crews' training level, the military ships will launch real torpedoes and will perform the firings with the artillery armament on board. They will have anti submarine, anti aircraft and anti surface ships exercises, maneuvers according to the NATO proceedings, exercises of communication, search and rescue, fight against mines, maintaining of ship vitality and control of suspect ships.
