The Defense Ministers from the NATO member states will participate in the informal Reunion between September 28 and 30, 2006 in Portoroz, Slovenia. Romania will be represented by the State Secretary and chief of Department for Policy of Defense and Planning from the Ministry of Defense, Corneliu Dobritoiu.

During the Reunion for the preparation of the NATO Summit in Riga, Latvia ( November 28 and 29) there will be the working sessions dedicated to the process of transformation of the Alliance's military capability, i.e. the NATO operations and missions.

A similar Reunion of Defense Ministers of NATO member states was hosted by Romania in Poiana Brasov, in October 13 and 14, 2004.
