Chief of General Staff, Vice-Admiral Gheorghe Marin participated today, October 11, 2006 in Malina shooting range, Galati County for the developments of ROMEX'06 exercise.

ROMEX'06 exercise is led by the 2nd Joint Operational Command from Buzau and it is aiming to test the final operational capacity of a Mechanized Battalion endowed with the infantry fighting vehicles (MLI). An Artillery Battalion and attack and support helicopters participated for the support of the Mechanized Battalion offensive and defensive actions.

Vice-Admiral Marin appreciated the fact that ROMEX '06 reached its goal and the new fighting vehicles were successful in the field of combat.
