The Minister of National Defence of the Senegal Republic, Becaye DIOP, heads a military delegation on official visit in Romania from October 18 to 21.

The official talks at the MoD HQ will approach issues concerning the participation of the Romanian Armed Forces in international peacekeeping and counterterrorism missions, the security environment in Central Africa as well as the development of the Romanian Senegalese military cooperation.

On this occasion, an Agreement on defence cooperation between the Romanian and the Senegalese Governments will be signed.

The program of the delegation includes visits to: the Training and Simulation Center of the National Defence University, the Crises Management Center and the Research Agency for Defence Equiment and Technology.

The ceremony for signing the cooperation agreement will take place on October 19 and will be followed by press statements of the Romanian and Senegalese officials. Journalists interested in participating in the event will be met at Checkpoint 3 (Marriott Hotel), from 10.10 to 10.30 hrs., on October 19.
