Join us at MIL FEST 2006 on October 22, at noon in the Revolution Square!

The Ministry of Defence organises a performance dedicated to the last enrollment, marking the giving up of the compulsory military service at peace and the launch of the
volunteer-based military service.

The MIL FEST 2006 progamme includes demonstrations of weapon drills, conducted by a platoon from the 30th Guard and Protocol Regiment Mihai Viteazul, horse exercises by Steaua military Club's Horse Section, concerts by the Military Brass Band and by military professional and amateur artist groups.

On this occasion, various military equipment and uniforms, as well as traditions and missions of the armed forces will be displayed for the public.

The new Romanian Armed Forces made up of professional personnel will also present its job offer at MIL FEST 2006. The Bucharest Recruitment Information Office and the representatives of the three Services will give information to all those interested on the criteria and standards required in order to become a professional military.

Famous Romanian groups will perform in the Revolution Square between 19:00 22:00 hours, such as ASIA, Cassa Loco, Hi-Q and Sistem.
