Captain Commander Dan Andrei Ghica Cucera, the pilot of the MiG 21 LanceR fallen today in Arad county, lost his life.

The pilot, 39 years old, was married and had a seven years old daughter. Since 2004 he was the chief trainer at the 71st Campia Turzii Air Base and had more then 700 hours of flight with more then 650 hours on MiG 21 LanceR.

The Air Force Staff commission headed by Air Flotilla General Ion Stefan is inquiring the accident.

The MoD leadership express the regret for the tragic accident and the condolences for the family of the Captain Commander lost on duty.
