Minister of Defense, Sorin Frunzaverde and the Chief of the General Staff, Admiral Gheorghe Marin will visit today, December 19, the theaters of operations in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The leaders of the Ministry of Defense, during the meeting with the Romanian military in mission under NATO command, will be informed on the conditions and the way the military are acting, the possible problems they are confronting with, the cooperation with other contingents and the effectiveness of the logistic support for the Romanian detachments deployed in this area of operations.

The Romanian delegation will meet the KFOR commander, Lieutenant General Roland Kather, the Brigade General Attilio Claudio Borreca, commander of the Multinational Force Command, West in Kosovo and the EUFOR commander in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rear-Admiral Hans Jochen Witthauer and the commander of NATO Command in Sarajevo, Major General Richard O. Wightman.

The Romanian Minister of Defense, Sorin Frunzaverde will have the official talks with his Bosnian counterpart Nikola Radovanovic and they will sign an agreement between the two Ministries on military cooperation.
