The 48th Center of Strategic Communications and Informatics is celebrating 65 years of existence

Wednesday, January 10, 2007 the 48th Center of Strategic Communications and Informatics is celebrating 65 years of existence.

The activities dedicated to this anniversary will start with the blessing of Troita Eroilor Transmisionisti build due to the subscription of the personnel of the unit, the Command of Communication and Informatics and the Directorate of Communication and Informatics and will be followed by the visitation of the unit, and the Museum of Communications and Informatics. There will occur a demonstrative exercise with direct complex relations (voice, data, image), with the most modern means of communications and informatics existing in this elite unit of the Romanian Armed Forces.

Generals and officers from the central structures of the Ministry of Defense, representatives of units of communications and informatics, war veterans, military in retreat and reserve from the transmission, informatics and electronic warfare and the military that worked in this unit are invited to participate to this event.


The 48th Center of Strategic Communication and Informatics is a big and one of the most important unit of communications and informatics of the Romanian Armed Forces operationalized in July 1, 2005. The main mission of the 48th Center is to ensure the technical support necessary at strategic leading level.
