Minister of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia, Lazar Elenovski, will be in official visit in our country between January 15 and 16, 2007 invited by the Romanian Minister of Defense, Sorin Frunzaverde.

The official talks at the Ministry of Defense will be focused on the common interest issues on the Romanian expertise in the Action Plan, the state of security in the Balkans and the bilateral military cooperation. Minister Sorin Fruzaverde will inform the Macedonian guest on the process of reform and modernization of the Romanian Armed Forces.

The Macedonian delegation will visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Carol I National College of Defense where Lazar Elenovski will deliver a lecture on NATO Perspective for the Republic of Macedonia and for the Countries from the Adriatic Chart. The Macedonian Minister will participate also in the inauguration of the new headquarters of the Romanian Euro-Atlantic Council where they will sign the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Romanian Euro-Atlantic Council and the Macedonian Euro-Atlantic Council.

Monday, January 15, the Ministers Sorin Frunzaverde and Lazar Elenovski will have the press statement at the Romanian MoD HQ.
