A ceremony occasioned by the leave in the IRAQI FREEDOM mission will occur Friday, January 26, starting 11 a.m. in the barracks of the 495th Infantry Battalion Captain Stefan Soverth.

The representatives of the MoD leadership and the state institutions, and the relatives of the military are participating in this ceremony.

The 495th Infantry Battalion Captain Stefan Soverth is replacing the 811th Infantry Battalion Dragonii Transilvani from Dej, participating in the Iraqi theater of operations since August 2006.

The Romanian military acting within the Multinational Division, South-East are participating in the creation of an environment of peace and stability in Iraq.
