The corvettes Admiral Petre Barbureanu , Vice Admiral Eugeniu Rosca and Rear Admiral Horia Macellariu from the Corvette Division are participating between January 25 and 26, 2007 in the sea exercises for the improvement of the crews' capacity in performing their specific missions.

In the two days of action on the sea the 260 sailors on board of these corvettes will perform anti submarine combat actions, monitorization of the naval traffic, interrogation of civilian ships and communication according to NATO proceedings and the trail and re/fuelling on the sea.

At the end of a new training mode, the corvette Rear Admiral Horia Macellariu will be evaluated by specialists from the Center of Training, Simulation and Evaluation of the Romanian Navy.

This year, the ships of the Corvette Division will participate in international missions with tradition in the Black Sea. Thus, Romania will be represented as every year, in the BLACKSEAFOR multinational Group and in the BLACKSEAPARTNERSHIP exercise in Turkey.
