Minister od Defense, Sorin Frunzaverde, will participate in Seville, between February 8 and 9, in the Defense Ministers Informal Reunion of NATO member countries.

The main issues of the talks between the participants in this Reunion are the state of security in Afghanistan and the North Atlantic operation in this country and the NATO military transformation.

Minister Sorin Frunzaverde will deliver a speech on NATO Operations during the Reunion and another one during the NATO-Russia Council. During the Reunion the Romanian Minister of Defense will have a meeting with his Afghani counterpart, Abdul Rahim Wardak.

State Secretary Corneliu Dobritoiu, chief of Department for Policy of Defense and Planning, Sorin Ducaru, the Romanian ambassador in NATO, and Major General Stefan Oprea, deputy chief of General Staff are the members of the Romanian delegation.
